Mais Alghanim Restaurant
Mais Alghanim offers a good range of Lebanese food, including some amazing salads, hummus varieties and excellent grills (both meat and chicken). They serve fresh baked bread as guest eat their meals. The venue is beautiful, right across the sea. All in all a wonderful experience.

Burj Al Hamam Restaurant

This restaurant serves one of the best Lebanese cuisines in Kuwait. It opened in 2004 and has grown to become very popular in the city. In a relaxed atmosphere, guest can enjoy listening to authentic Arabic songs while eating authentic and delicious food. Ask for an amazing table in the corner to enjoy the best views of Green Island, the sea and downtown.

Kuwait Towers
Kuwait’s most famous landmark, the Kuwait Towers, with their distinctive blue-green ‘sequins’, are worth a visit for the prospect of sea and city that they afford. Designed by a Swedish architectural firm and opened in 1979, the largest of the three towers rises to a height of 187m, and houses a two-level revolving observation deck, gift shop and cafe. The lower globe on the largest tower stores around one million gallons of water. The middle tower is also used for water storage, while the smallest tower is used to light up the other two. A collection of photographs show how the so-called ‘barbarian invaders’ tried to destroy the symbol of Kuwait during the Iraqi invasion. The towers are currently closed for major refurbishment with an expected reopening by mid-2013.

Traditional Mubarakia Souq Market
This is Kuwait's old souk, always faithful to its roots, it is still held in the open air as per tradition and features a maze narrow intertwining alleys of shops selling cloths, hardware, jewelry, spices or even a pet bird, at price highly competitive with a big malls around the country. One of the best ways to get a feel for the heart of the city is to pull up a chair at one of the casual tables strewn around the Western edge of the old souq on the semi-pedestrian’s Abdullah al-Salem Sreet. Order some kebab and you'll be delighted with a generous helping of green leaves, pickles, hummus and Arabic bread arrives to garnish the meat.

Kuwait National Work Memorial Museum
This innovative museum encapsulates the horror of the Iraqi invasion and honors the sacrifices that Kuwaiti citizens, the Kuwaiti military and the allies made in order to withhold Saddam’s forces. The exhibits comprise a set of well-crafted models of the city that are illuminated in time with an audio recording in English. Despite the nationalist propaganda, the experience of walking through the darkened corridors, lit only by simulated gun blasts and mortar attacks, and focusing on the heroism of the few for the safety of the many, has a contemporary resonance that transcends the exhibit’s narrow remit.
